Dear Colleagues,

This year, we will be upholding the Marketing Congress in Kırşehir, which could not be held face-to-face due to the Covid-19 pandemic for the last two years. The 26th Marketing Congress will be held between 23-25 June 2022, hosted by Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration.

This year, as Kırşehir Ahi Evran University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration, we are planning to hold our congress both online and face-to-face. Despite our longing for organizing the Conference face-to-face, the unpredictable course of the pandemic affected our decision to organize the 26th Marketing Congress in a hybrid nature.

The fact that Kırşehir is the first city of Turkey that was included in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the field of music, and that it is the 10th anniversary of the decease of one of our important poets, Neşet Ertaş, enabled us to determine the main theme of our Congress as the impact of tones and rhythms on the marketing strategies of brands.

Music, which has had an important place in human life for centuries, has been played and listened to for many different purposes such as motivation, health, and entertainment. In modern societies, music is defined as a phenomenon with diverse and pluralistic practices. Music is also used as a factor affecting the purchasing behavior of consumers.

The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on our lives brings up the necessity of re-evaluating the issues related to the pandemic in this regard. Therefore, how the pandemic affects variables such as consumer attitudes and behaviors, culture, environment, and businesses, along with strategies towards these matters will make a significant contribution.

Congress-related issues such as the congress program, the organization of the sessions and the software to be used will be announced soon. We are honored and looking forward to hosting all the distinguished scholars and researchers taking part in the congress. We would like to extend our gratitude for your contributions in advance.

Yours sincerely
